Materials:

  • Yarn Yarn Art Jeans any color you like;
  • – some cardboard for the bottom and seat;
  • -wire (two pieces: 23 cm and ~6,5 cm)
  • The boat consists of four parts.

Abbreviations:

  • ch -(chain stitch)
  • sc-single crochet
  • hdc- half double crochet
  • inc -increase
  • dec -decrease
  • sl st – slip stitch

The bottom of the boat (make 2)

  • Make 18ch + 1ch for lifting, then crochet oval, according diagram (6rows).

Fold in a half, putting a cardboard oval (in size) inside; sl st around the details, grabbing them together. Cut off the yarn, grabbing the long end for sewing.

The sides of the boat

  • 1 row: 5 sc in MR
  • 2 row: 5 inc (10)
  • 3 row: (1 sc, 1 inc)*5 (15)
  • 4-78 row: 15 sc

After you crochet about 7 cm., insert the wire (about 23 cm), stuff the detail. Continue stuffing in course of crocheting.

  • 79 row: (1 sc, 1 dec)*5 (15)
  • 80 row: (5 dec)*5 (3)
  • Pull the hole, hide the end.

Note: the number of rows may be different, i.e. the length of the detail depends on the size of the bottom. In the process of crocheting try on the detail to the bottom.

The seat of the boat (make 2).

  • Make 16 ch+1 ch for lifting. Crochet in back-and-forth-rows. 1-6 row: 16 sc.
  • Fold the parts in half, putting a cardboard rectangle inside for rigidity; crochet sc, grabbing the two parts together. Leave the end for sewing the seat to the sides of the boat.

Oar

  • 5 sc in MR
  • 1-19 row: 5 sc

Insert the wire

  • 20 row: fold in half, make 3 sc, grabbing both sides, 1 ch for lifting.

Crochet with back-and-forth-rows.

  • 21 row: 3 sc, 1 ch, turn
  • 22 row: 2 sc, inc, 1 ch, turn
  • 23 row: 3 sc, inc, 1 ch, turn
  • 24 row: 5 sc, 1 ch, turn
  • 25 row: 5 sc, turn
  • 26 row: in the second loop: 3 dc, 1 ch, 3 dc; in the forth loop – 1 sl st.

Assembly

  • Sew the side of the boat to the bottom, seat and oar – to the side. Embroider decorative as you like, for example, a strip along the side, a strip on the oar.
