Materials

- 3.25 mm crochet hook
- Scissors

Making
Foundation Chain: Chain in multiples of 13. For example, chain 39. Add 2 chains after that, which will be the foundation chain.
- Row 1: Single crochet in the second chain from the hook. Single crochet in each of the next 12 chains. Chain 2, turn.
- Row 2: Increase (2 single crochets) in the first stitch. Single crochet in each of the next 5 stitches. Skip 2 stitches. Single crochet in each of the next 5 stitches. Increase (2 single crochets) in the last stitch. Chain 2, turn.
Row 3: Repeat row 2.
- Row 4: Repeat row 2.
- Row 5: Change color. Repeat row 2.
- Row 6: Repeat row 2.
- Row 7: Repeat row 2.
- Row 8: Change color. Repeat row 2.
- Repeat rows 2-9 until you reach your desired length.
- Sewing: Sew the sides of the purse together using a whip stitch or single crochets.
- Strap (optional): Chain a desired length for the strap. Attach the strap to the top corners of the purse.
Here are some additional tips:
- Work in back loops only to create the ridge.
- You can use any yarn of your choice, but the recommended hook size is 3.25 mm.
- You can add buttons or other embellishments to your purse.
- You can make your purse into a sling bag by chaining a longer strap and attaching it to the top corners.
