- 8 Plymouth cotton yarn
- 4.5 millimeter crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
Steps
Round 1
- Chain 3.
- Yarn over, insert hook in the first chain, pull through. You should have 3 loops on your hook.
- Yarn over, pull through all 3 loops. Now, you should have 1 loop on your hook.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 nine more times, totaling 10 half double crochets.
- Slip stitch to join the round.
Round 2
- Chain 2, this counts as the first half double crochet.
- Half double crochet in each stitch around, reaching a total of 20 stitches.
- Slip stitch to join the round.
For Round 3
- Chain 2, this counts as the first half double crochet.
- Half double crochet in the first stitch. Then, in the next stitch, half double crochet twice (increase).
- Repeat the increase step around until the end of the round to have a total of 30 stitches.

Round 4: Bear Ears
