Crochet Deer Amigurumi Doll
Materials Needed:
- Worsted weight yarn in various colors:
- Tan, cream, and brown for the body features
- Green, red, and optional sweater colors
- Size G crochet hook (4/4.25 mm)
- 6mm safety eyes
- 8 or 9 mm safety nose
- Polyester stuffing
- Yarn needle
- Stitch markers
- Scissors
Deer Body and Head:
Start with tan yarn:
- Magic ring, chain 1, 6 single crochet (sc) in ring (6 sc)
- 2 sc in each st (12 sc)
- 2 sc in first st, 1 sc in next st repeat around (18 sc)
- Sc in each st (18 sc)
- Change to sweater color A, sc in each st (18 sc)
- Change to color B, repeat sc in each st (18 sc), continue alternating sweater colors every round until Round 8.
- Begin stuffing, continue to stuff as you work. At Round 9, sc2tog around (9 sc).
- Change back to tan, 2 sc in each st (18 sc), then more increase and sc rounds to shape the head.
- Insert safety eyes between Rounds 13 and 14, about 3-4 stitches apart.
- Continue with decrease until you close the head.
Muzzle (in cream):
- Magic ring, chain 1, 6 sc in ring
- 2 sc in each st (12 sc), sc in each st (12 sc)
- Finish off, leaving long tail for sewing, attach the safety nose and sew below the eyes on the head.
Ears (make 2, in tan):
- Chain 3, slip stitch in first chain from hook, single crochet in next, half double crochet in last, finish off leaving a long tail for sewing.
Antlers (make 2, in brown):
Each antler consists of two parts:
- Main part: Start with a magic ring and 6 sc in ring, then sc in each st for several rows.
- Branch part: Similar start, create a smaller branch and sew onto the side of the main part.
Attach antlers and ears to the head where indicated.
Arms and Legs (make 2 of each):
Arms:
- Start with brown yarn in a magic ring, chain 1, 6 sc.
- Switch to sweater colors, continuing the pattern and finishing off with a long tail for sewing.
Legs:
- Similar to arms, start with brown and switch to tan, finishing off ready for sewing.
Attach both arms and legs to the body, positioning as desired.

- Finish off, sew ends to form a ring, attach with a tail left for sewing.
Bow (in red):
